(1.5 L) If you have a need for water at a specific temperature anywhere from 104-212F (40-100C) and you want it quickly without having to fuss with thermometers, this is the perfect kettle. It will bring up to 1.5 liters (6.3 cups) of water to the desired temperature (1 increments) and hold it there until you are ready for it.I originally bought it for loose tea. Green tea requires water at 170 to 180, white tea is best brewed at 140 to 160, and oolongs call for 180 to 200. I used to heat water on the stove or in the microwave. If I needed cooler water, I would then either add cold water or wait for it to cool, using a thermometer or just guessing. Now I just set it and forget it. It saves me at least 5-10 minutes every time I brew tea. I put the water in the Pino, set the temperature, and turn it on. Then I can go about weighing the tea, preheating the teapot and the thermos, or reading the paper while the water is heating up. My previously complicated and messy... (1.5 L) First of all, I find it hard to believe, in this day and age, that this is the only option for an electric kettle that tells you the current temperature of the water, and allows you to dial in the exact temperature you want (at least when I did the research, at the time I didn't see any others). When I first researched digital kettles, I wanted the exact features of this kettle, I expected to find tens of this type of item and then narrow it down. Instead, I found a few kettles that let you select a couple canned temperatures, and wouldn't display the current temp. So, for this, the PINO stands out as having the features I wanted.I'll start with what I like about the kettle: -It will quickly and easily heat water to the exact temperature you dial in. -It is decently well constructed, and it's easy to use. -It boils water pretty fast, and the displayed temperature seems to be very accurate. -It has a capacity larger than anything I've needed... (1.5 L) This is THE kettle for tea-drinkers, designed by a dedicated tea-drinker who understands your needs! Among electric kettles, the Pino Digital Kettle Pro is in a class by itself. Not only can you set a custom temperature for heating water (essential for green and white teas), but you can program the kettle to maintain that temperature to within a few scant degrees. (Mine varies about 3% from the target temp, just as the manual says it should.) Both features work well and controls are easy to program, read, and understand. The removable pot is extremely easy to re-seat on the base.In addition, the Pino Digital Kettle Pro is really attractive, so much so that I've given mine a place of prominence on the countertop next to my coffee maker. Guests often comment on how nice it looks. At 1000 watts, the kettle heats a full 1.5 L of water fairly quickly, but isn't as likely to overload kitchen electrical circuits like the 1500 watt models.
