I went thru three cordless electronic kettles like this one and was not satisfied, but this one is a keeper, I love it, it boils water fast, keeps it hot/warm for a long time, water doesn't taste funny, no problem with top not opening properly, it's all around the best that I've used, I'll recommend it to everyone~~~

I bought this electric kettle after our stovetop kettle stopped working properly. I have never owned an electric one before, I was skeptical that it would work as quickly or as safely as described, but I was wrong. It DOES boil a max-filled carafe full of water in about 60 seconds. It DOES shut itself off automatically. The red color is vibrant and elegant but somehow not too bright. I will say (for people with children) that the side gets hot so you can only carry it by the handle. But it's a very sturdy handle, and very easy to carry if it's filled to the maximum line. So I haven't burned myself or been inconvenienced in any other way at all.
