Could go into details about the spun metal construction, the aluminum plate at the bottom for more efficient transfer of heat, and how the handles and spout are spot welded to the main body of the kettle. But all that is just frivolous detail, though as is how the lid opening is rolled round and inward and you really have to feel around the rolled metal to find the edge which is rather smooth. It's a solid kettle and should stay that way unless it gets kicked or tossed about like a football.Relatively easy to clean and fill with the removable lid, though a smaller hand than mine would make interior washing a bit easier. THAT feature is a plus for me as I like to be able to wash and inspect the inside of the kettle and make sure nothing is building up in there. I wanted more of a classic, rectangular shape and was a bit hesitant, but the round shape really does look great. I must warn you, the whistle on this kettle sounds like 10 fire alarms screaming. I removed mine so as not to alert my neighbors.
